Crypto expansion — the 12-month pattern

The crypto roster grew from 6 to 9 currencies. Every addition documented:

Baseline: BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT ERC20, BCH, DOGE

6 currencies at advanced crypto coverage launch. USDT only on Ethereum network (high fees ~$15 per transaction).

USDT TRC20 added

USDT on TRON network (TRC20) with minimum fees (~$0.30). Important change: USDT TRC20 becomes the most economical method for crypto deposits/withdrawals.

TRX (TRON) as native crypto

TRX added as separate method. Withdrawal times ~3 minutes, among the fastest in the segment.

BNB (Binance Chain) added

Binance Coin available for deposit and withdrawal. Opens the channel to users with Binance wallet.

XRP (Ripple) — the ninth currency

XRP completes the roster to 9 currencies, positioning Playio at #1 in the segment for crypto coverage. XRP withdrawal times ~12 minutes, minimum fees ($0.0001 per transaction).

Apple Pay / Google Pay — the most important change

The Apple Pay and Google Pay launch in November 2025 was the single most impactful change of the last 12 months on payments. Rollout details:

Simultaneous Apple Pay + Google Pay launch

Deposit with Face ID/fingerprint in 3-4 seconds. Tokenized security (the underlying card isn't exposed to the merchant). Min deposit €20. Change that took Playio from #6 to #2 in the segment's payment ranking in 2 months.

Apple/Google Pay limit raised to €1,500 per transaction

Initial limit of €1,000 for single Apple/Google Pay deposit raised to €1,500. Response to the request of the frequent player segment.

Compatibility extended to Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay (for Samsung Galaxy devices) added as alternative channel to Google Pay. Three mobile-native options now available.

Withdrawal to Apple/Google Pay — still not supported

Community rumours suggested imminent launch of withdrawals to Apple/Google Pay. Verified with support: withdrawal to these methods is not on the roadmap, remains "deposit only".

KYC — the progressive speedup

KYC times have improved over 12 months thanks to 3 optimisations:

  • October 2025: reduced from 24h average to 18h average thanks to the new document verification provider
  • January 2026: reduced to 14-16h average thanks to the move to automated OCR for ID documents
  • April 2026: fast-track for VIP 4-5 introduced: review in 4 hours instead of 14-16h. Not publicly communicated

Pattern: every 4-5 months an iteration that reduces the time. Estimate as of May 2026: 14h global average, 4h for top VIP, 2-3h for requests with pre-verified documents.

Limits — tracked changes

PeriodStandard €/day limitVIP 3-5Notes
May 2025€3,000€5,000-€10,000Baseline
December 2025€5,000 (+66%)€7,500-€15,000General increase
April 2026€5,000 (stable)€7,500-€15,000Confirmed after raise rumours

Important: at end of March 2026 the community reported rumours of a possible limit increase to €7,500/day for base tiers. We verified with support and the increase is not confirmed. Limit remains €5k/day.

Commissions — unchanged

One of the few areas without changes in 12 months: Playio continues to not charge commissions on deposits and withdrawals from its side. External commissions (issuing bank, blockchain fee, e-wallet processor) remain at the player's charge — uniform across the segment.

Italian banks — the chronic problem

Italian banks (Intesa, Unicredit, BPER) continue to block transactions to non-ADM operators. No changes in 12 months. The community segment has developed 3 alternative solutions:

  1. Skrill/Neteller intermediary — deposits via e-wallet, Italian bank doesn't see gambling operator
  2. Full crypto — completely bypasses the traditional banking system
  3. Apple Pay/Google Pay — mid solution: same potential problem with issuing bank, but tokenization reduces blocks

Security — positive stability

Category with the most positive stability. Zero breaches registered in 12 months, no changes in protocols (128-bit SSL, Google Authenticator 2FA). One minor change:

  • January 2026: 2FA made mandatory for balances above €500 (previously always optional). Increased protection level for players with significant balances.
